Apartment AM31 | 2027

The residence occupies the top floor of a newly built residential building in the southern suburbs of Athens and was designed to accommodate a family of three.

The primary design objective was to completely reconfigure the floor plan, to clearly define the shared living spaces from the private areas. An open-plan layout was selected for the entrance, kitchen, living and dining areas, while the private rooms are positioned towards the rear of the apartment. To maximize natural light and capture the surrounding views, an 8m wide sliding window system was incorporated into the main living area.

Upon entering, a custom cabinet unfolds as a three-sided, multifunctional architectural element, serving as the focal point of the open-plan layout and seamlessly connecting the entrance, kitchen, living and dining areas. The composition incorporates ample storage for coats, shoes and everyday essentials, forms the main backdrop to the dining area, and frames a recessed TV niche with additional storage on the living room. The interplay of black lacquer and black-tinted mirror, as the primary materials of the composition, enhances the sense of depth, reflects natural light and visually unifies the open-plan space. A solid marble base anchors the entire composition, adding a sense of permanence and material richness to the space.

In the kitchen area, a monolithic island with concealed storage balances functionality with clean aesthetics.

In the master suite, the aim was to create a serene, hotel-inspired atmosphere. A walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom complete the private retreat.

The consistent use of dark stained wood and natural materials reinforce the residence’s cohesive design language.

Beyond the architectural and interior design, our scope of work also encompassed project supervision, lighting design, electrical and plumbing studies, ensuring a holistic and cohesive design approach from concept to completion.
